Keith Moons life had it all, rags to riches, addiction, divorce, total genius, humour, plus he was the archetypal iconoclast and he had Style.A complete one off. There have been so many films about such mundane characters lauded to the heavens.why not a film about a true original?

Jim Wirsz,
Hey Roger, no drummer in the world past or present deserves to have his story told more than Keith Moon! Especially by the people that knew him best including yourself, Pete, Ringo, Bill Curbishley, Bobby Pridden, Dougal and probably a hundred others who he touched! I really hope you can get it done Roger! I've been trying to catch Lambert And Stamp but it has been in limited areas here in the U.S. God bless you and Pete!

langston anderson,
I've been waiting a long time, this has got to get made!

stephen dupree,

Movies are made about the life trials and tribulations of the lead in the famous bands but it takes all members to make the bands famous their tales are just as important and Keith Moon was an iconic drummer. I would like to see the movie produced the who was a big part of my generation.

john morales,
please roger make the movie already

xxxxxxxx,

The kids of today don’t know what real rock-n-roll is. Keith Moon needs to be seen and needs to inspire the way to play!

Get Tony Fletcher involved as his biography of Keith is brilliant.
This needs to be sorted out before we are all too deaf dumb and blind to appreciate it.
I hope that Pete Townsend is also involved

Keith along with the other Who members are rock icons. I understand why it is difficult to find the right script as this man had so many different levels. He is NOT the typical drugged out drunken rocker who died way too young! Please make the movie and do justice to this great rock icon!

This movie will not only be horribly inaccurate and most likely over-embellished but just plain wrong if Keith’s personal assistant, Peter Butler does not play a major role in every aspect of it. Upon reading his book, ‘Full Moon’, it’s painfully clear to me that Peter knew Moonie better than anyone on this planet. He was simply there during Keith’s most personal and intimate moments that only someone in his position could witness. THIS MOVIE NEEDS PETER BUTLER, PERIOD!!! (Can’t wait to see it though)

I don’t know how many mourners did anything over Keith’s Death, apparently, I can’t remember, although I would of been 10, my sister and friends with me included held a ceremony in a place called Ballarat, Victoria, Australia by having Who play songs as we paraded around throwing flower pebbles everywhere.
I didn’t think I discovered The Who until I was 15/16 after watching a friends video of Tommy, but my sister told me different. But it was definitely Tommy that got me out finding out more on this band The Who¿?? That around my age group here down under, no one had heard of them, Who? Yes Who!
Movie on Keith is needed for us fans, the ignorant Who don’t know much or even anything about them. Some readers might have some difficulty thinking theres people out here that may not of heard of The Who, believe it, it’s true. They only came to Australia in 1964 and promised never to return, they tried to tour in the ’90’s with Simon and not Pete and did an explosive Pinball Wizard performance on Australia’s biggest Saturday Night Family Show at the time, but they didn’t sell tickets and was canceled.
Then they tried again with Pete 6 years ago or so with a successful tour I failed to get to and then was here in 2010 for the Melbourne Grand Prix and missed that successful tour too. I blame myself that although they’ve been very powerful without Keith, I didn’t push enough to go see them without John. The Melbourne Grand Prix set is bootlegged on YouTube if you do a search.
So; this is why we want Keith back; brought back to life and show the world this crazy, sad and humorist wacko that I had met a man that he and his mate won tickets to see this band called The Who from England in 1964 that they walked out blasted with WTF?!? That Guitarist was in your face. How about that Drummer? Did you see the way he thrashed his drum set and still had it together, they were loud, and incomparable to anything to this day they had ever witnessed.
Please Roger, get it happening, the generations need to meet Keith that you have had under the hat to long now, you may need to audition some unknowns as keith, but get the big names in there too to keep the people interested…. cheers 😉

by Dee Daws

Please fer fek sake make this happen! All his mates are mostly still alive, don’t wait too much longer, notice the “mostly” part!

Find a total unknown to play him, not some daft American that’s not funny without a script was been soon to be on the “where are they now” pile..

Keith already wrote the script!!!

The man was a marvel. Classed as one of the most talented rock drummers ever. His legacy holds so much fascination, in a positive way. This film needs to be made not just for the fans but to show history that together with Pete, John and Roger, Keith was a major part of what was a phenomenal band that will be recognised as one of once in a lifetimes experiences.

C’mon Mr. Daltrey, this movie NEEDS to be made. And you are the ONE to realise it, if anyone can do the story right who would it be but you? The faster things get rollin’ the better it is, JASON SCHWARTZMAN really is a good choice and the movie would establish The Who as one of the bands from that time to remember for the generation to come. It is not important that people know The Who, they will afterwards, it is important that the story is entertaining, and with Keith Moon being the protagonist, this is guaranteed … there is a lot of money to be made with that movie (if the screenplay is right)

About Me

I am just one person who also happens to be a huge Who fan. The legendary Keith Moon has always been a fascinating figure for me. When I heard that there might be a movie about Keith produced by none other than Roger Daltrey, I had to build this site to unleash my enthusiasm.
